Things You Should Do Before You Reach 30
If you are one of the people who are about to wind up their 20s and all set to hit the 30s, then below is a checklist of 5 things you need to tick off.
Our lives keep changing extremely as we grow old and we end up missing a lot of things due to lack of planning. We often become ignorant when it comes to prioritizing things. Yes, we often survive our 20s in shaping our career and figuring out what exactly we want in life.
However, the 30 phase seems to be more difficult as one has to grow more responsible and take life a little more seriously.
Many researchers who have studied the lives have canvassed the brightest minds above 30 to bring this sage advice. Below are 5 Things You Should Do Before You Reach 30:
“Even though you’re growing up, you should never stop having fun”. Nina Dobrev
1. Start a side hustle
Consider starting that side hustle. Even if the first one can fail—you’re gaining critical skills for the next project.
“Find a side job or a side gig that you really love and challenge yourself to earn just a little bit extra each month…you can start small, but those little amounts of extra income are going to be really helpful to meeting your savings goals.”
2. Set up automatic savings and investment account
Money is always a hot topic to start, especially at the beginning of the year.
Although finances shouldn’t be the highest priority in our lives, money plays a major role and we definitely need to see it for what it is.
Compound interest in the hands of someone who is in their late 20s is a fearsome weapon.
Money is a tool that, depending on how we use it, can bring much joy to our lives or it can bring destruction. We need to be aware of all the positive possibilities it offers. So, at this age, make sure you invest your money into a business or have some savings. Let your money work for you.
3.Invest in your body
We have all heard that having healthy habits such as eating well, staying active, and staying on top of our health screenings is really important.
But have you ever really thought about why these things are so important, and how they all work together?
One of the things you can do is to hire a trainer to teach you proper exercise techniques. Some people waste years doing it wrong or hurt themselves.
“Doctors won’t make you healthy. Nutritionists won’t make you slim. Teachers won’t make you smart. Gurus won’t make you calm. Mentors won’t make you rich. Trainers won’t make you fit. Ultimately, you have to take responsibility. Save yourself”. Naval Ravikant
4. Date widely and wisely
If you’re tired of wasting time dating people who are only interested in playing around when you’re hoping to find a godly husband/wife, you need to change your approach to dating by setting new standards for yourself and the men/women you date.

“Very rarely does anyone find the ‘right’ life mate without discovering who one is best suited for via trial and error.” ―Garth Sam, life coach
5. Risk now, not later
“If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary”. – Jim Rohn
Talking about risks. Even if you’re not planning a risky new move, you’ve probably taken a few risks to get to where you are today, and chances are you’re not done taking them. Therefore, this is the right time to take those risks, not later.
