We all start each year with resolutions, and we surely believe that 2020 is going to be our year. We’re going to reach all our goals, manifest everything we dream of and finally start living our best life.
However, It’s not just going to happen overnight, hey. If you want to become your best self, you’re going to have to form some habits to help you get there.
The important thing to remember is that good habits can take time to create, but once you’ve started, they can completely change your life for the better.
The life-changing habits in this post are habits that I’ve been implementing for the past year. Guess what! The combination of these habits has really helped me get where I am today and I know they’ll help me get to where I plan to go in the future. Below are 10 life-changing habits that can change your life from today:
1. Make plans, not goals
Goals are absolutely important, but plans are what’s going to get you outcomes. Therefore, make an Action Plan for Your Goals. Remember the saying that goes: A goal without a plan is just a wish?. So, you need to be specific about what you would like to achieve, plan it and start developing habits that will get you there.
2. Read a few pages of a Business or Self Development Book Every Day
If you want to improve your life, continued learning is important. One of the most effective ways to keep your mind on the go and keep those creative juices flowing is to read at least 10 pages of a business or self-development book each and every day.
If you can read more than that, go for it. Reading will help you look at your problems and situations in different ways and think of new solutions.
3.Develop Healthy Habits
Fueling your mind and body with healthy habits will definitely make you successful. Firstly, make sure you eat healthy meals. Fill your body with healthy foods and plan out your meals accordingly. Planning will help you not buy fast food and unhealthy snacks every day.
Secondly, get your body active at least 3 times a week. It can be with jogging, taking dancing classes, working out, or whatever else. All that matters is to get your heart pumping and blood flowing as many days a week as possible.
Lastly and most important, drink lots and lots of water!
4. Get up earlier
We all love our sleep, I know. Waking up early can motivate and makes your day productive. I’m sure you can attest to this. Therefore, make it a habit. Start waking up just half an hour to an hour earlier than you normally do and take some ‘you’ time before you start the day.
Some people use this extra time to exercise, meditate, or just enjoy their breakfast instead of rushing straight out the door.
5. Save money
It is very important to put a small percentage of your salary or pay into your savings account every month or put it towards paying off any debt you may have.
Try to cut on some unnecessary expenses and start working your way towards financial freedom or independence. This will definitely have a hugely positive impact on your life.
